Mr. Xianqing Xiang is Vice President of Finance at Shenzhen Hepalink Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (or “Hepalink”) where he participates in the formulation of the Group’s long-term strategies and annual business plans and the setting of financial targets for the Group as well as its business units and product lines, in alignment with the company’s mid- and long-term strategies. Furthermore, Mr. Xiang’s scope of work includes designing the Group’s financial strategies, developing operating budget for the entire company, overseeing corporate financial management (the accounting of the results of business operations and management) and financial reporting to meet the business needs and financial disclosures requested of publicly-listed companies; building a financial management system that integrates finance and business operations, tracking business units’ financial performances, and preemptively identifying shortfalls in financial performance in order to secure the achievement of overall annual targets. Mr. Xiang is also responsible for ensuring the security and efficiency in capital allocations and coordinating tax planning for company’s global operations.
Mr. Xiang has over 20 years of experience and deep expertise in corporate financial management.
Before joining Hepalink, Mr. Xiang served in a series of key positions at Guangzhou Huayin Health Medical Group Co., Ltd., including Group Deputy General Manager, Board Secretary, and Chief Financial Officer. During this period, Mr. Xiang was responsible for the Group’s financial management, and led the IPO-enabling preparations, equity financing, and debt financing with banks. In addition, Mr. Xiang spearheaded the implementation of a corporate financial information system, established the company’s budgetary framework, and built a corporate-wide financial management system while managing the company’s investment projects. During his tenure, the company’s annual revenue grew from around RMB 400 million to over RMB 2 billion.
Prior to that, Mr. Xiang was at the Midea Group, where he served as the Group’s Deputy Director of Finance and Director of Finance at the Group’s global headquarters since 2013. Responding to the Group HQ’s requests, Mr. Xiang standardized the financial management systems and processes of its overseas subsidiaries and oversaw the tax planning and compliance in the Group’s overseas operations. During this time, Mr. Xiang also managed the company’s export trading and financing platforms in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau, and was responsible for coordinating with all overseas operations in accounting, tax management, and internal control.
During 1998 and 2013, Mr. Xiang served at a number of Fortune 500 companies and publicly-listed companies in China, including General Electric (China), ThyssenKrupp Stainless Steel (Guangzhou), Chiquita Brands International, Inc. (NYSE: CQB) (APAC), the Singapore-based JKYM International Holdings (a company received VC investment by Citigroup ), and Guangdong Dongfang Precision Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (002611), accumulating a wealth of experience in corporate finance, accounting, tax management, cash management, and business analysis. While he was the CFO of Guangdong Dongfang Precision Science & Technology Co., Ltd., Mr. Xiang played an instrumental role in the company’s global expansion and business diversification, and saw the company’s annual revenue grew from RMB 1.3 billion to RMB 6.6 billion.
Mr. Xiang has an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and a Bachelor of Management degree in accounting from Jinan University, Guangzhou. Mr. Xiang is also a certified public accountant in Australia.
